Musheerabad: Home Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy and Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Thursday praised VST company for donating 40,000 tree-guards, worth Rs.1.3 crore, under its CSR to the Haritha Haram scheme. They were speaking after representatives of the company handed over the tree-guards to the Mayor. Later, both planted sapling on the VST premises.

Both the minister and Mayor called upon other corporates to follow VST’s example of extending cooperation for the success of the TRS government’s prestigious green drive. They recalled that VST has a glorious history and that it had cooperated with GHMC in road-widening works. They said it was donating a metal bridge in this circle.

Reddy and Rammohan stated that the administration was ready to launch an Annapurna canteen in the area if a 200-300 sq yard plot was made available. They praised local Corporator V Srinivas Reddy for his role in taking up a good programme. Among those present were VST Managing Director Tata Lahari, TRS BC Cell president Muta Gopal, Gandhinagar Corporator Muta Padma Naresh, Jaisimha, Javed Khan, Neta Sinu, Resham Mallesh.
