Hyderabad: Despite cross-voting in GHMC Standing Committee election held on Thursday, the ruling Congress-MIM combine posted victory in all the 15 seats. Congress Corporator M Parameshwar Reddy from Ramanthapur secured the highest number of votes- 127 out of the maximum 149 votes.

The other Congress corporators who got elected are-M Prabhakar (124 votes), B Pushpa (111), G Shankar Yadav (100), K Jagan (94), T Geetha Rani (92), B Bharati Raj (92) and M R Srinivas Rao (86 votes).

Likewise from MIM, Mohd Mukkaram Ali (91 votes), A Samad Ahmed Abbad (91), Meraj Mohammed (90), Mohsina Parveen (90), Aruna (89), Syed Minhajuddin (89) and Habeeb Zain (89 votes) secured berths in the Standing Committee. On the other hand M Bhanu Pratap of TDP secured 67 votes, while BJP's K Sahadev polled 35 votes.

GHMC Mayor Mohammad Majid Hussain, Deputy Mayor G Raj Kumar, former mayor Banda Karthika Reddy cast votes in the Standing Committee election.
