Hyderabad: A showdown between the protagonists of Telangana movement and the city police appears imminent over the TJAC's proposed Chalo Assembly on June 14 as the city Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma made it clear that they would act tough against violators of the rules. anurag"Nobody has sought permission to hold rally and even if sought, it will be rejected. There is no precedence of giving permissions to such programmes earlier when the Assembly is in session. If any group defies the rules, we have no option but to act tough" Anurag Sharma warned. The intelligence wing has already kept a tab on the movements of key leaders of the programme and a constant vigil is on. A huge police force will be deployed from Sunday evening onwards around Assembly and the traffic may be diverted in the vicinity on Monday. "We don't take chances and all efforts will be made to block the programme if it is held" police chief said. Meanwhile, the Speaker of Assembly, Nadendla Manohar held a review meeting on security arrangements with senior police and government officials.
