Katasani joins YSRCP, Shilpa to follow

In a fresh jolt to the Congress party, Banaganapalli MLA Katasani Rami Reddy on Tuesday joined the YSR Congress party in the presence of party honorary president YS Vijayamma at the latter’s resident Lotus Pond here. He took the party membership and announced to serve the party in any capacity the party high command assigned.

He took the party membership and announced to serve the party in any capacity the party high command assigned.
Katasani had recently announced his resignation from the Congress and went on an indefinite hunger strike in support of YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s fast protesting against the proposed division of the state. Another party leader and Nandyal MLA Shilpa Mohan Reddy also announced resignation from the Congress at a dharna organised by Samaikyandhra JAC in Kurnool district. Reddy, who was a close associate of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, also may switch his loyalty to the YSRCP soon.
