heavy rains forecast

Hyderabad: The Met office on Tuesday warned of heavy rainfall in East and West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore and all districts of Telangana and Rayalaseema during the next two days on account of the low pressure area lying over the west-central Bay and adjoining Coastal Andhra. Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema.

There will be no large change in the weather outlook during the next 48 hours. There was eight, seven and six cm of rainfall in Hindupur, Kavali and Gooty on Monday, as rain occurred at a few places in Coastal Andhra, Telangana and isolated places in Rayalaseema. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) on Monday were: Boath 5, Rapalle, Tuni, Utnoor, Nirmal 4 each, Nandigama , Avanigadda , Atchempet , Nuzvid, Nagarkurnool, Jurala 3 each, Yelamanchili , Bhimavaram , Peddapuram , Gajapathin agaram, Pamidi, Alur , Penukonda, Nagarjunasagar, Wanaparti 2 each Forecast for Hyderabad and its neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 12: A few spells of rain or thundershowers, at times heavy in some areas, will occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31 and 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
