Police crack housewife murder case, four held

The Cyberabad Police on Friday cracked the murder mystery of a 60-year-old housewife and apprehended four accused. The police recovered ornaments comprising Chandraharam, Kasikulla gold Chain, a bracelet, four gold bangles, two gold rings and one LCD television all worth Rs 5.5 lakh from the accused Mohd. Nasir, 23, a sofa repairer, Shaik Naushad, 19 a daily wage labourer, Mohd. Feroz, 19, working as a helper in soda company and Tripati Rajan, 20, a student.

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police on Friday cracked the murder mystery of a 60-year-old housewife and apprehended four accused. The police recovered ornaments comprising Chandraharam, Kasikulla gold Chain, a bracelet, four gold bangles, two gold rings and one LCD television all worth Rs 5.5 lakh from the accused Mohd. Nasir, 23, a sofa repairer, Shaik Naushad, 19 a daily wage labourer, Mohd. Feroz, 19, working as a helper in soda company and Tripati Rajan, 20, a student.
According to police, victim Vemparala Dhanalakshmi, wife of late Kodandaramaiah residing at Venkateswara Colony in Saroornagar, called Mohd Nasir of Kukatpally for repairing sofa at her residence. Nasir and his helper- friend Shaik Naushad, while doing sofa repair works observed that Dhanalakshmi was wearing gold ornaments and was living alone. Later they hatched a plan to eliminate Dhanalaxmi and rob her of ornaments.
The duo approached other friends Mohd. Feroz and Tripati Rajan to execute the plan and on August 28, the four accused reached the house of the deceased at 10.30 am on the pretext of completing the work. At around 3 pm, Mohd Feroz attacked Dhanalakshmi in the kitchen and with the aid of other three strangulated Dhanalaxmi to death. Later they slit the throat of Dhanalaxmi with a kitchen knife and escaped with all her gold ornaments and cash of Rs 1,500 and a LCD television on two bikes.
The details of culprits, Shaik Naushad a daily wage laborer of Bollaram, belongs to Ghorakpur in Uttar Pradesh. Mohd. Feroz, aged 19, works as a helper in Soda company in Bollaram village and native of Bihar. The fourth accused Tripati Rajan, aged 20, a student stays in Bollaram and native of Uttar Pradesh.
