Hyderabad: Tension prevailed at Secretariat on Friday after an officer working in Law department fainted after she had heated arguments with the protesting Seemandhra employees. Saradamba, deputy secretary in Law department has been away from the Seemandhra stir though she hailed from Coastal region. Some of the Seemandhra employees approached and insisted her to join the ongoing indefinite strike. She tried to convince them with a request to spare her from the protest by explaining her health condition and domestic problems.
In the process she had heated exchanges with those leading the protest. While she was explaining her health status, she fainted on the spot and fell unconscious. She was taken to hospital immediately after the incident and treated. She was discharged after treatment. Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum secretary K V Krishnaiah came after hearing the news and visited her in the hospital. He refused to comment anything on the incident. On the other hand, the employees of Telangana alleged that the Seemandhra employees have been threatening the employees who were not participating in the stir.
