Hyderabad: Stressing the need for strengthening of education system in Telangana, T leaders at a meeting organised by Telangana IT Association (TIA) on Sunday, at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, expressed that government sponsored educational institutions are must for the growth of Telangana and its people.
Speaking on the occasion, educationist and former MLC Chukka Ramaiah stressed on the need to develop government sponsored educational institutions in the new Telangana State, with a special emphasis on the development of ‘conceptual education’ and ‘human capital’.
He asked the engineers to develop agricultural implements using low-cost methods and technological innovation. NALSAR University professor Madabushi Sridhar felt that Hyderabad as a joint capital for Telangana and Seemandhra region would do absolute injustice to the Seemandhra people by depriving them of creating a new capital that would actually create innumerable job opportunities for its people.
He said that Seemandhra people already faced injustice, when the Rs 1.9 crore, which was given for the development of capital in Kurnool back in 50s, had lapsed. He further rubbished Lok Satta party president Jayaprakash Narayan’s comment about maximum revenue in Hyderabad coming from the industries set up by the Andhra people, pointing out that Sri Krishna Committee had mentioned in its report that most of the industries set up around Hyderabad belonged to the companies from outside AP.
