Jana, MRPS extend support to OU JAC’s ‘Yudha Bheri’

Hyderabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj K Jana Reddy announced his support for the proposed ‘Yudha Bheri’ meeting to be organised by the Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OU JAC) on September 21. Speaking to media persons on Sunday, Jana Reddy said that the Congress party would support the meeting.

He said that he would also urge Congress leaders from the region and see if they could join him. However, Jana Reddy appealed to the student unions to ensure the conduct of meeting in a peaceful manner. It may be mentioned that pro-Telangana groups have also planned to conduct ‘Sakala Janula Bheri’ on September 29 to press for the immediate formation of Telangana State. The pro-Telangana meetings are also aimed to counter the ‘Save Andhra Pradesh’ meeting that was held on September 7 by APGNOs.

Meanwhile Calling people to make ‘Yudha Bheri’ protest a grand success, the Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MPRS) founder president Manda Krishna on Sunday warned that the Telangana organisations would intensify the stir if Hyderabad is accorded UT status. The protest would be organised jointly by (MRPS) and student associations, in support of Telangana at Osmania University on September 21.
