Hyderabad: Worried over the delay in taking the process of formation of Telangana state forward, the T Congress leaders have decided to go to New Delhi on September 22 and meet the AICC President Sonia Gandhi, AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi and A K Antony Committee and urge them to see that the Cabinet note is presented at the next cabinet meeting and the T bill is introduced in the Parliament immediately thereafter.

The extended meeting of the T Congress leaders, held under the leadership of former PCC chief D Srinivas and Panchayat Raj Minister K Jana Reddy, expressed concern over the way their Seemandhra counterparts backed by the Chief Minister were putting hurdles in the Tprocess. Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha was conspicuous by his absence.

The meeting which lasted for four hours at Ministers’ Quarters here on Sunday presented a sharp contrast to the Seemandhra ministers meeting that was organized at the same venue on Saturday. While the Seemandhra leaders exuded confidence that the process had been put on hold, the general mood among T leaders was not so jubilant. About 11 ministers, 7 MPs, some MLAs, MLCs and DCC heads from Telangana participated in the meeting.

Several leaders like V Hanumantha Rao, Gutta Sukhender Reddy and others found fault with the ministers from T region for not taking any initiative to counter the moves of the Seemandhra ministers. Sukhender Reddy said that the T ministers should tell the Chief Minister that they would quit the cabinet if he did not change his attitude and stop defying the CWC decision and stop encouraging the APNGOs as well as his team of Seemandhra ministers.
