Naidu declares assets 3rd time
For the third consecutive year, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday declared his and his family members’ assets totaling Rs 41.70 crore up from Rs 40 crore last year. Addressing a news conference here, he informed that his personal assets valued at Rs 42.06 lakhs against Rs 31.97 lakh last year.

Hyderabad: For the third consecutive year, TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday declared his and his family members’ assets totaling Rs 41.70 crore up from Rs 40 crore last year. Addressing a news conference here, he informed that his personal assets valued at Rs 42.06 lakhs against Rs 31.97 lakh last year. His wife Bhuvaneshwari, who heads the family business venture Heritage Foods, possessed net assets worth Rs 33.05 crore . Last year, her assets were Rs 24.57 crore. While his son Lokesh became poorer this year with Rs 4.9 crore, down from Rs 6.62 crore last year.
Lokesh wife’s Brahmani, daughter of Naidu’s brother- in – law and film actor Balakrishna, owned Rs 3.30 crore assets against Rs 2.09 crore declared last year. Reiterating that the Heritage Foods was functioning with transparency and recorded growth of 14.96 per cent in the last financial year, he said his company was not getting any assistance from government since its inception.

He refuted allegations that he owned assets worth Rs 2,000 crore . If anybody proved it, he will transfer the money and assets to them. Stating that as a senior political leader in the state and country he had been declaring assets as he was accountable to people, Naidu said asked all other political leaders to follow the suit to ensure transparency and high moral standard in public life.
Asserting need to bring a legislation to make it mandatory for all those in public life to declare their and family members’ assets, the TDP leader said that “you should not make money by exploitation or through any dubious means. Ours is a contended family and we never followed illegitimate ways to make money,” he added.
Naidu for Delhi on Sep 20 or 21
Hyderabad : TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu is likely to visit New Delhi on September 20 or 21 and meet President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the bifurcation issue. He is waiting for separate appointments with them.
Indications are that the PMO and President Secretariat will call the TDP delegation led by Naidu on September 20 or 21. Naidu is planning to make the bifurcation of state a big issue in the national capital by meeting the top leaders and impress upon them the need to address people’s concerns. Naidu expressed his concern over the deteriorating situation in the state to the party leaders whom he met at his residence to take stock of the situation on Monday. Leaders said that Naidu also finalized his second round ‘Atma Gaurava Yatra’ in Seemandhra districts after Delhi tour. He would visit Nellore and Prakasham districts in his second phase tour.
