Heavy rains forecast in several districts

The Met office on Tuesday warned of heavy rainfall in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and all districts of Telangana during the next 48 hours. Moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Coastal Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. There will be no major change in the weather outlook during the subsequent two days.
The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) on Monday were: Dhone 9, Pathapatnam 8, Kollapur 6, Anakapalli, Utukuru, Ibrahimpatnam and Vikarabad 5 each,Tekkali, Thamballapall, Koilakuntla, Alampur , Wanaparthi, Allagadda and Owk 4 each, Darsi, Jurala Project, Sriramsagar Project, Maddanur, Yemmiganur, Srisailam, Penukonda, Vempalli, Kadiri and Rajampet 3 each, Narsapur, Prakasam Barrage , Rapur, Yellamanchili, Gooty , Alur, Kamalapuram, Anantapur, Suryapet, Achampet, Sangareddy and Mednoor 2 each. Forecast for Hyderabad and its neighbourhood valid until the morning of September 19 : Sky will be generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain or thundershowers, at times heavy, in some areas will occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 31 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
