Hyderabad: Asserting that the YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was within his constitutional right to seek bail as per the suggestion of the Supreme Court, the party on Tuesday said the TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu was unnecessarily raising a hue and cry over the issue out of fear. Addressing the press here, party spokesperson A Rambabu said that Naidu had developed jitters with CBI completing its probe in the case and the bail chances of Jagan improving.
He alleged that Naidu developed cold feet and came back to Hyderabad winding up his yatra after the chances to get bail for Jagan improved. The TDP leader has been working on a conspiracy to negate the bail chances with the fear of losing deposits in the next election if bail was granted to YSR party chief. “As per the Supreme Court orders, the deadline for CBI to complete the probe and file the final charge sheet was over on September 9. While this is the fact, Naidu sent his party MPs’ delegation to Delhi to try to adversely influence the investigation and other constitutional intuitions for denying bail to Jagan. This clearly shows that this is a politically motivated case,” Rambabu remarked.
