Speaking to mediapersons at APNGOs Bhavan, president P Ashok Babu reiterated that their fight was independent of any political party. Critical of the statements made by political leaders, he clarified that none of his men was involved in the incidents, where some politicians were allegedly attacked. Indirectly referring to the statements made by G Kishan Reddy, in reaction to the attack on one of the local BJP leaders, he said that the politicians should refrain from such ‘comments’.
He held that the APNGOs was taking forward the agitation in a peaceful way, these kinds of comments were unwarranted. Emphasising that the employees were ready to make ‘sacrifices’, he challenged the political class of same for achieving the goal of Samaikyandhra.
“The agitation was being taken forward with discipline and from a position of responsibility. Politicians should recognise that they have chance of life time to further their careers in the region by supporting the struggle,” Ashok Babu said. ‘Sodara Sadbhavana’ meeting planned With the object of resolving the issue of bifurcation with debate and discussions, the APNGOs would organise ‘Sodara Sadbhavana’ meeting in the city. Expressing their openness to speak to their counterparts in Telangana, Ashok Babu said that the TNGOs will be invited to meeting. “As they always underlined the need to get separated as brothers, we shall be inviting them with same spirit to explain how detrimental it would be for people of both sides of the State,” he
