Hyderabad: The Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday demanded Governor to dismiss the State Major Industries Minister J Geetha Reddy who has been charge sheeted in Lepakshi Knowledge Hub (LKH) case by CBI on Tuesday. In a memorandum to Governor ESL Narasimhan, party president N Chandrababu Naidu said his party represented him for the immediate dismissal of the tainted ministers involved in the YSR Congress Party president Jaganmohan Reddy illegal assets case on May 13 this year. But no steps were taken towards this end, he said.
This tendency was not in the best interest of the good governance of the State and it would embolden the administrative machinery to continue to get involved in criminal cases affecting the interest of public, he opined. As the CBI filed charge sheets against Geetha Reddy and officials, Naidu urged Governor to direct the State government to obtain prosecution permission from the Centre against the officers who were facing charges and also direct the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to dismiss the ministers involved.
