Hyderabad: Expressing concern over political sloganeering during the Ganesh procession areas bordering Old City, the CPI has demanded the DGP to stop the misuse of religious function. Reacting to the BJP’s campaign during Ganesh Nimajjanam at Moazzam Jahi market, the party State secretary Dr K Narayana has warned that this kind of misbehavior could lead to communal riot.
The BJP leaders were chanting Modi’s name by camping themselves at biggest junction on immersion route. Referring to the Muzaffarnagar riots, where the BJP allegedly conspired to create communal riots for electoral benefits, he held that to create similar situation like UP, the party was resorting to this kind of mischief.In a press statement, he demanded DGP to immediately end this incitement, lest it sparks violence in the city.
Demands removal of Geetha Reddy, DGP
Responding to the reports of Minister Geetha Reddy charge sheeted in Jaganmohan Reddy’s illegal assets, he demanded her immediate resignation on moral grounds and asked the government to remove her from Ministry. Condemning the way DGP Dinesh Reddy has handled his case with media, Narayana has demanded the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to remove him from his post.
