LEADERS WARN OF MILITANT-TYPE MOVEMENT

Hyderabad: In a stern warning to the Centre against making Hyderabad as a Union Territory, student leaders of all hues have threatened dire consequences if the UPA government goes ahead with this plan. Speaking at a well-attended rally, organized by Madiga Students Federation (MSF), they made it clear that nothing short of Telangana with Hyderabad as its capital would be acceptable to them.

The meeting, christened as ‘Yuddhabheri’ was attended by the leaders of OUJAC, TGVP, PDSU, AISF etc. This is the first time that the leaders of all student organizations have joined hands for the cause of Telangana. Addanki Dayakar, the spokesman of Telangana Political JAC, warned of physical attacks if the Centre moves ahead with UT plan. Echoing similar sentiments, another speaker also called for militant-type struggle against such moves.

Speaker after speaker eulogized Manda Krishna Madiga, the President of MRPS, and declared their support and participation if he launches fight against the proposed UT plan by the Centre. “A dalit should become the first Chief Minister of the Telangana state,” they demanded, hinting that it must be none other than Manda Krishna Madiga. OU JAC convener Karate Raju said no force could obstruct the formation of the Telangana state. He flayed DGP V Dinesh Reddy for his alleged partiality towards united AP struggle.

TGVP president Anjaneyelu demanded immediate tabling of the Telangana Bill in Parliament as already scores of people from Telangana committed suicide after the CWC decision, suspecting Centre’s delayed tactics. AISF President Valiullah Khadri, BSF president Bandaru Verabhadram and PDSU Chief Ravi gave a call for wholehearted support for the struggle against Centre’s move. “The conspiracy by Seemandhra leaders continue to torment us. Let us not sit idly. We will oppose UT tooth and nail” they declared. The leaders also denounced thrashing of Dudimetla Balaraj Yadav by APNGOs at the Save AP meet at LB Stadium recently.

Won’t accept T sans Hyd: Manda Krishna

Hyderabad: The President of Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS), Manda Krishna Madiga, has called for renewed struggle against the Centre’s moves on Hyderabad including Union Territory status. “Reports have been trickling in from Delhi that the UPA government has been mulling three options, prominent among them is UT plan.

We don’t accept it. What’s the use of creating Telangana without Hyderabad as its capital?” he said speaking at a rally at Osmania University. Krishna Madiga announced that a three-month-long action plan, involving all student bodies, would be chalked out on September 25. He also declared that a massive rally with one lakh people would be organised at LB Stadium on October 27. In a spirited speech reaching out to underprivileged students, Krishna Madiga strongly felt the need of uniting the students once again for the cause of Telangana. “You were heroes three years back.

Every political leader made frequent visits to OU and were at your mercy. Now, every student leader is seen at the residences of political leaders – most of them are forward caste leaders with feudal mindset. Why this turn of events? Political leaders know that if they can rope in students, they would benefit a lot. If they minimise your impact, they can call the shots and thereby they can continue enjoying the power. This should not be the case. I feel you are the masters and you should decide the fate of those leaders.

For this to happen, students from all the universities in the region shall unite. ” he said. Stating that student force along can stop the vicious plans by the Centre, Krishna Madiga said- “We want the resolution of CWC announced on July 30 to be implemented without any deviation. ” he outlined.
