Even as trouble mounted over the CBI to probe DGP Dinesh Reddy's assets, the DGP himself made a startling revelation that opened another pandora's box. Former DGP Dinesh Reddy on Tuesday held a press conference to hit out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy. He told the media why the reason for CM's dislike for him.
"I objected to the CM's brother's (Santosh Reddy) land grabbing act. Ever since Kiran hates me,' he told news persons. He also added that he faced a lot of pressure from Santosh to extend his support for carrying out illegal activities.
On the ocassion, Dinesh Reddy also spilled the beans on his controversial retirement issue. It's worth mentioning here that Dinesh Reddy retired on September 30 after the AP High Court dismissed his petition for exendithe ng his tenure which the Apex Court too upheld.
He asserted: "The CM had promised to give me an extension. However, he went back on his words by issuing a GO (government order) just two days before my retirement. I don't understand why I was treated that way. The chief minister plotted against me as I did not comply to his commands."
By this time, the media went into a frenzy contemplating the next list of questions. Even before that, Dinesh dropped another bomb, a piece of information that could act against CM Kiran in the wake of current developments in the state. Dinesh told the media that the CM pushed him to speak against Telangana. "He pushed me to say that Naxalism will surge of the state were to be divided," he told a shocked audience.
This was not all. The best was yet to come. DGP Dinesh told news persons how he was pressurised to suspend Ananthapuram SP, Syamsundhara Reddy. Calling CM a failure, he said: "I have proof to substantiate my allegations against the CM. I am even ready to approach the court if need arises."
Minutes after DGP's press conference, KCR's son K Taraka Ramarao demanded a CBI probe into Santosh's activities and also act against the CM.
