Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday got the court's green signal to hold a public meeting titled Samaikhya Sankharavam in Hyderabad. With the decks cleared for meeting, YSRCP will be the first political party in the state to hold a meeting against carving a separate state for Telangana out of Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP leaders are expected to announce the official date for the event soon. Sources in the YSRCP say that Jagan is planning to hold a public meeting on October 24. With this meeting, Jagan is planning to show his strength in the Seemandhra region and deliver his first political speech since his release from jail.

Political observers feel that YSRCP supporters are hoping that Jagan's meeting will boost YSRCP strength in the Seemandhra region as his indefinite hungerstrike failed to create an impact. With several NGO calling off their strike, Seemandhra is at peace. Besides, no agitational programmes have been reported for the last one week.

Thus Jagan's Samaikya Shankaravam meeting in Hyderabad is expcted to add steam to the Samaikyandhra movement. The buzz in the political circles is that eis the right time for him to show his strength.

YSRCP leaders said that as oer rules, the police must be intimated at least five days prior to the public meting. As there are only three days left for October 19 (the original scheduled date for the YSRCP event), they have decided to postpone the date.

Party members feel that mobilization and arrangements will take at least one week time and so October 24 would be apt. It now remains to be seen if Jagan's meeting will have a succesful run or face hurdles from Telangana leaders.
