Ganesha procession: Hyderabad traffic turns chaotic.

After over a week's celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi festival in Hyderabad, today the city will bid adieu to the Elephant god. Although most companies have declared a holiday today to avoid inconvenience to the employees, several others were forced to go to work.
Those returning from work had to battle traffic congestion as they had to wade through narrow roads with trawlers carrying Ganesha on either side.
Chants of Ganpati Bappa Morya and Jai Ganesh rent the air as organisers who had set up Ganesh Mandapams across the city were on their way to immerse the idol at the Hussain Sagar lake in Hyderabad.
Huge idols of Ganpati adorned with jewels and colourful flowers are being carried to the Tank Bund where the GHMC has made arrangements for immersion. Beating of drums and youngsters dancing was a common sight on city's roads.
