The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has informed that it is planning to conduct Property Tax Parishkaram (PTP) for the year 2014-15 on every Sunday from December 7, 2014 to March 22, 2015.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has informed that it is planning to conduct Property Tax Parishkaram (PTP) for the year 2014-15 on every Sunday from December 7, 2014 to March 22, 2015.

Stating this on Friday, Somesh Kumar, Commissioner & Special Officer of GHMC, asked all property tax payers to come up with their grievances in their respective circles pertaining to pending mutations, legal cases, revision petitions, new assessment of properties and any other tax related matters.

The Special Officer has assured that the grievances would be solved either on the spot or would be followed up and solved at the earliest. The PTP is scheduled to be held from 9.30 am. to 1 pm.The PTP programme will be conducted in all circles and zonal offices on Sundays for the convenience of tax payers.

PTP was conducted this year in the month of February and March in various circles and zones and lot of grievances had been solved. Tax payers also expressed satisfaction over the programme. As a part of development of two graveyards and revival preservation and development of one lake in each circle, Somesh Kumar inspected several areas of East and North Zone and directed the Zonal Commissioners and all the Deputy Commissioners to take up the works pertaining to proposed development of lakes and graveyards and to complete within the stipulated time on priority basis.

The Special Officer, along with senior officials of the GHMC, also visited the Hindu graveyard at Malkajgiri and Muslim graveyard at Kushaiguda and directed the officials to modernise both the graveyards and the lakes Nalla Chervu in Uppal and R K Puram Chervu in Malkajgiri at the earliest. Somesh Kimar also inspected graveyards in L B Nagar, Uppal and Kapra areas.
