UoH pays rich tributes to Dr Ambedkar
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) fraternity paid homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on his ‘Mahaparinirvana Diwas’ on December 6 in the administrative building. Prof. RP Sharma, in-charge Vice-Chancellor, UoH, reminded the employees of the contributions of Dr Ambedkar to bring about equality in India.
The University of Hyderabad (UoH) fraternity paid homage to Dr BR Ambedkar on his ‘Mahaparinirvana Diwas’ on December 6 in the administrative building. Prof. RP Sharma, in-charge Vice-Chancellor, UoH, reminded the employees of the contributions of Dr Ambedkar to bring about equality in India. He also said that Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, popularly known as Babasaheb, was a great intellectual.

“We remember his efforts to eradicate social evils and the importance he gave to education,” said Prof. Sharma. He asked all the members of the university to work towards realising Dr Ambedkar’s dream of achieving an egalitarian and a just society. Later Prof. G Nanchariah, Dean, School of Economics, recalled the contributions of Dr Ambedkar in building a modern India on the lines of equality and social justice.
Prof. V Krishna, in-charge registrar and controller of examinations, Prof. P Prakash Babu, Dean, students’ welfare, Pandu Reddy, finance officer and other officials and students were present.
