Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has sponsored the setting up of a new kitchen for supporting the Bhojanamrita programme being undertaken by the Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) charitable foundation. The firm’s director P Sarath Chandra Reddy handed over a cheque of Rs one crore ten lakh to the HKM.

The new kitchen will be completely mechanised and will be setup at Narsingi, Kokapet by March, 2015. The kitchen will be able to feed around 15,000 people each day. The Bhojanamrita programme is currently being conducted at many government hospitals in the city where free lunch is provided to inpatients and attendants. The lunch menu includes rice, dal, sabzi, buttermilk and pickle along with sweet and fruits which is provided once a week.
