In this regard, the musician unveiled a documentary,’ The Making of Bhagavad Gita’, on Wednesday in the city. ESL Narasimhan, Governor of the two states, graced the launch.

In this regard, the musician unveiled a documentary,’ The Making of Bhagavad Gita’, on Wednesday in the city. ESL Narasimhan, Governor of the two states, graced the launch.

Expressing his happiness over Gangadhar’s effort, Narasimhan said that Gita when read gives strength to the weak. “It helps you to overcome the perplexity when you are on an important assignment; if your conscience is right when it comes to duty, God will always be right next to you,” he said.

He added that Gita also states that if any person spreads Lord Krishna’s message, he will go to him after departing the world. With assistance from scholars, musicians, technical experts, it took Gangadhar six years to record all the 700 versus. Sitar maestro Janardhan, sound engineer Raghu and composer Sangeeta Rao, the trio, who have collaborated for Ghantasala Bhagavadgita, have extended their support for the new age version too.

Swami Swaroopanandendra, former CBI joint director VV Lakshmi Narayana, Telangana Government advisor S Venugopalachari, film personalities K Viswanath, Paruchuri Venkateshwara Rao, and Brahmanandam among others participated in the gathering.
