Home Minsiter said that in order to ensure the world class policing, the cashless enforcement of challans by traffic police at the city police commissionerate was launched and an overall up gradation of police is going on to ensure world class policing in the capital city.

“We have launched many initiatives that are widely appreciated by the public. The new dress code for policemen is in the process and it will help our system to be world class. Soon, all police stations in districts too will also get new vehicles,” he said addressing media after launching the event.

He said that step will be taken to ensure the goodwill of the police department in the city and that the corruption in the department will be completely eradicated.

“The traffic violator will be issued e-ticket and will be given 7 days to pay the challan. If such cases cumulatively exceeds three cases, then police will detain RC, DL and the vehicle and will ask the violators to pay to get his vehicle back,” said a senior cop.
