MA&UD assures GHMC of clearing pending files

The Principal Secretary of MA & UD MG Gopal convened a meeting with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials and directed the civic body to take up sanitation works on a war footing. He assured the officials that all pending files would be cleared soon.

Some of the pending files pertain to service rules of employees, health cards and filling of vacancies. Somesh Kumar, GHMC Commissioner and Special Officer, gave a power point presentation on the projects undertaken by the corporation. He noted that GHMC is now 100 per cent e-enabled after the e-office project.

In the presentation he drew the attention of the officials to the JNNURM housing project stating that 17,000 houses have been occupied by the beneficiaries out of the 36,404 houses. The GHMC also sought for Rs 150 crore from the government for the white topping of the roads. Navin Mittal, Special Commissioner, GHMC, Additional Commissioner Gaurav Uppal and other senior officials took part in the meeting.
