The State Bank of India celebrated its golden jubilee year on February 1 at its local head office at Bank Street, Koti. CR Sasi Kumar in his inaugural address said, “SBI, Hyderabad, was formed on February 1, 1965 which completed 50 years of its existence and continued to serve both the states.

The State Bank of India celebrated its golden jubilee year on February 1 at its local head office at Bank Street, Koti. CR Sasi Kumar in his inaugural address said, “SBI, Hyderabad, was formed on February 1, 1965 which completed 50 years of its existence and continued to serve both the states. When the circle was formed, there were 67 branches with 30 crore business with a staff of 1,406 which has now risen to 1.39 crore of business with a staff of 16,472.”

On this auspicious occasion, the bank honoured 62 staff members who worked in the local head office including the members who worked as managing directors, deputy managing directors, chief general managers, general managers and other category of staff members. The programme was highlighted by cultural events which enthralled the audience.
