The student body of Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology on Saturday announced that its technical and cultural fest, Carpediem VII, will be held on April 10 and 11 in the college premises. The biannual fest will see a lineup of concerts, tech expos, jugaad, seminars, a hackathon, workshops on rapid prototyping and design thinking, a fashion show, literary events, etc.

Standup comedian Kanan Gill, singer Mohit Chauhan, EDM duo Lost Stories are among those who will feature in the two day fest. Dr B Chennakeshava Rao, principal of the college, said that the objective of the fest was to help students learn through participation. “The fest is to improve the students’ organising skills, marketing skills, etc.

The main objective is to help them excel in extracurricular activities,” he said. JA Chowdary of Talent Sprint; story teller and design thinker Honey Bajaj; Telugu TV serial director Manjula Naidu; music director Ramana Gogula; HYSEA President Ramesh Loganathan and other are expected to speak at the event. Other attractions at the fest include Laugh It Out, March Madness, Verve - The Fashion Show, Kill The Beat - a group dance competition, Reel Steel – a short film contest, etc.
