City-based Healthy Heart Foods’ oil was recognised as the purest among Indian brands by Consumer Voice, a magazine that works in association with the consumer affairs department and is a part of the Jaago Grahak Jago. The products were tested in National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) accredited laboratories.

The study by Voice of Consumer (VOC) looked at the topmost names in edible oil in India like Dhara, Fortune and others. “It is a proud moment for Telangana as Healthy Heart has emerged as the best in India. What’s more is that Healthy Heart also topped in delivering value for money. The test was stringent and looked at 14 physio-chemical parameters including iodine value, colour and flash point. Additionally, it looked at five sensory attributes including colour, flavour and taste,” said Santosh Lohiya, founder, Healthy Heart Oil.

“When it came to setting up the oil production plant, the world’s best oil technology De Smet, leaders in cooking oil technology from Belgium, were zeroed in on. Our stringent quality measures ensure that the edible oil we produce is the lightest, has a great taste and is healthy. This recognition will spur us on to continue to maintain the quality and keep consumers’ health as our top priority.”

The Consumer Voice Magazine recommended that it is beneficial to consume a mix of oils to maintain a balance between the three fatty acids. The company's YouTube channel releases a series of videos where leading cardiologists educate consumers on cardiovascular health. This year, the company plans to make videos in Telugu and Hindi to reach the rural masses. Also, the company has set up the Healthy Heart Foundation which enlists the help of senior cardiologists, nutritionists and fitness experts to discuss tips on heart health.
