Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society) felicitated 14 member student team from Andhra Pradesh Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Schools and Youth Services Department for successfully reaching the Mt. Everest summit against all odds recently.

Hyderabad: Dr RS Praveen Kumar, Secretary, TSWREIS (Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society) felicitated 14 member student team from Andhra Pradesh Social and Tribal Welfare Residential Schools and Youth Services Department for successfully reaching the Mt. Everest summit against all odds recently.

He congratulated the team members for creating a world record by opening a fresh route to the summit from the North side of the Everest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kumar said that children from the marginalised communities once again proved to the world that they are capable of achieving anything under the sky if opportunities are provided.

``Opportunity is the difference between success and failure”, he said. The mountaineers should become role models for millions of underprivileged children in the country’ he said.Dr Kumar congratulated Col. Ramulu, Secretary, APSWREIS and Komal Kishore, Commissioner, Youth Services, Government of Andhra Pradesh and Sekhar Babu, Chief Coach, Transcend Adventures for making the Mt. Everest expedition a reality for the poor children.
