Zuckerberg's Image Sparked Awkward Feelings Among The Web Community

One single image posted on Mark Zuckerberg account on Sunday 21 February encapsulated the future: with a determined stride, Facebook's CEO walking through the crowd, makes a surprise appearance in the middle of a Samsung's press conference at Barcelona Mobile World Congress, as the participants, unaware of his presence, are plunging into the depths virtual reality headsets.

Comments reveal the awkward side of the image. "is this picture an allegory of our future ? the people in a virtual reality with our leaders walking by us", asked Nicolas on Twitter.

Much later, people on the network that Zuckerberg invented will start passing this photo around. It looks like “1984,” they say, or that 1984 Apple ad; it reminds them of “The Matrix,” in which humans grow in amniotic pods and experience the “world” via a plug in their heads.
