Washington: Uber has been slapped with yet another cease and desist order from local government in South Carolina as the Public Service Commission of South Carolina today ordered the company to halt its activities due to improper licensing of its drivers.

According to the Verge, the notice names Raiser LLC, a subsidiary of Uber and operates its UberX service, saying that the transportation company's drivers lack the right credentials to pick people and take them places for money.
The filing states that all the motor carriers that transport persons or property should obtain a certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity before starting their operations.
Uber has been running its UberX service in the state since July last year.
