Two policemen on duty for the second one-dayer between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at the heavily guarded Gaddafi stadium suffered injuries due to a transformer blast.

Geo News channel reported that two blasts took place after power transformers close to the stadium exploded.

"An auto rickshaw and three motorcycles were damaged in the blasts and two policemen were slightly injured," a witness said.
"Senior police officials have said the blasts happened a distance away from the stadium near Kalma Chowk," he said.
The day and night match continued uninterrupted even after the blasts.
The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Punjab government have made elaborate security arrangements for the touring Zimbabwe team with hundreds of policemen, intelligence officers and commandos on duty at the Gaddafi stadium as part of the security cordon.
Last night witnessed another full house for the match as the series -- the first in Pakistan in six years - has prompted a wave of celebrations in the cricket-loving country.
