US Senate voted the hardening of sanctions imposed upon North Korean regime in an unanimous vote, following Pyongyang recent nuclear test that occurred less than a month ago.

US Senate voted the hardening of sanctions imposed upon North Korean regime in an unanimous vote, following Pyongyang recent nuclear test that occurred less than a month ago.

In January, a similar text had been adopted by The house of representatives. According to democrat senators, U.S President Obama should have this Congress proposal become law as soon as possible.

American lawmakers thus seek to display this resolution not only from Washington to North Korea, but also vis-a-vis the United Nations Organization and some other countries also, particularly to China, Pyongyang's sole ally.

"China, the only country capable of doing anything on this issue is blocking the possibility for the U.N Security Council to act on a multilateral basis", said Republican Senator Bob Corker, presently the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

"It would a lot more efficient with the support of the international community ", said Democratic Senator Ben Cardin.

A month following after what the country considered to be a nuclear bomb test, North Korea launched on Sunday long lange rocket carrying an observation satelite.
