This event, hosted every year in Munich Bayerischer Hof Hotel, has been a good opportunity to run through subjects that may threaten Europe security: war in Syria, refugee crisis, Ukraine and even Moldavia.

On 13 Februrary, the day was marked by a standoff between Western and Russian diplomats calling back to mind Cold War worst chapters. Dimitri Medvedev asked:"Is it 2016 or 1962?", with direct reference to paroxysm of tensions between Western and Soviet Blocks during Cuba missile crisis.

"Russia's political rhetoric, its position and military exercises aim at intimidating its neighbouring countries, undermining trust and security among European Union".

Russian Prime Minister did mention a "world war" in the event of an expansion of the conflict in Syria. He also qualified Russia as "the most world greatest nuclear power".
