Biratnagar (Nepal) : An oposition leader in Nepal has criticised Prime Minister K.P. Oli for undertaking a six-day official visit to India when the country is still in the throes of resolving its domestic issues.

Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal (SSFN) Chairman Upendra Yadav said such a visit is a futile exercise that would not benefit Nepal at all.

"It would have been better if internal issues were resolved first before leaving for India," the Kathmandu Post quoted Yadav, as saying at an interaction with the media in Biratnagar before moving on to Rangeli to attend a programme on Thursday.

"The concerns of Madhes have not been addressed yet and, I believe, visiting India at this juncture would not yield any meaningful result," he added.
