Yemen: At least sixteen people, including four Christian nuns from India, were today killed when four gunmen attacked an old people's abode in the Yemeni port of Aden.

The gunmen, who first told the guard that they were on a visit to their mother, stormed into the home with rifles and opened fire, reports CBC News.

They fled after the attack.

It has been alleged that the attackers were 'extremists' and the government blamed the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria(ISIS) group, which has been gaining ground in Aden in recent months.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.
