Washington: Politicians are generally known for shaking hands and kissing babies. Donald Trump isn't interested in either.

While between protesters and vocal supporters, the famously germ-averse Republican presidential candidate has gotten used to speech interruptions, on Tuesday, it was a crying baby who gave Trump pause as he addressed a crowd of supporters in Ashburn, Virginia.

“When China devalues its currency, they’re making it impossible for our companies to compete,” Trump says before a baby’s cry can be heard ringing through the venue.

“Don’t worry about that baby, I love babies. I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. I like it! What a baby! What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry,” he said.

“The mom’s running around like—don’t worry about it, you know. It’s young, and beautiful, and healthy and that’s what we want,” he added, jumping back into his critique of China for currency manipulation in times of international strife.

“They have ripped us to shreds. Ripped us absolutely to shreds,” Trump said, keeping on currency devaluation for another few sentences before once again addressing the crying child.
