wat2 Yerraguntla (Kadapa): The State government gave a green signal for the works at a cost of Rs 22 crores for emergency drinking water in Kadapa district, informed District Collector Kona Sashidhar. He, along with MLA Adinarayana Reddy, participated in the revenue meeting held at Yerraguntla on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said water will be supplied soon to Yerraguntla from Kamalapuram through a pipeline once in two days by reducing the power cut timings. MLA Adinarayana Reddy said that proposals have been submitted to the Central government for arranging another pipeline from Kamalapuram Papagni under Jawaharlal Nehru Development Welfare Association at an expenditure of Rs 25 crores. Eight acres has been allotted for Government Junior Degree College and ITI colleges, 2 km away from the city. Earlier in the day, District Collector inspected pump house and sump near Masjid at Pandillapalle of Kamalapuram mandal and directed the RWS engineers to complete the pipeline works that supply water to Yerraguntla town panchayat. He enquired the water supply to Yerraguntla panchayat. Sashidhar directed the RIMS Director to complete the repair works of toilets, drinking water pipelines and lifts in the hospital within 10 days at a meeting with RIMS Director, Superintendent and EE at his chambers.
