Kadapa: The Communist Party of India (CPI) demanded that the new Seemandhra capital should be established in Rayalaseema, after the state bifurcation. The CPI district convenor of Kadapa district, Eswaraiah on Wednesday demanded that the new capital should be built in Rayalaseema region only. He said since 1953, the Rayalaseema region has been discriminated and said it has been the most backward region of the state.

He said they have also not been receiving the authorised 130 TMCs water from Krishna River. Further, he demanded for the establishment of various companies and educational institutions in the region.
