Karimnagar: MP Ponnam Prabhakar said that Congress MPs from Telangana region would stall parliament session on April 22 in support of separate Telangana state move. The Karimnagar MP was addressing a press conference in the town on Wednesday. He lashed out at BJP leaders for their recent meetings in Telangana region at which they flayed the Centre and State Governments. ``While the Congress MPs were staging their protests in support of Telangana in parliament in the past, the BJP did not extend its support to the MPs. Instead, the party (BJP) leaders slammed the Congress senior leaders which resulted in the suspension of Congress MPs then,'' he said. ``Without supporting the agitating Congress MPs, the BJP leaders are conducting meetings in Telangana region only for their political gain. The BJP central leadership sought postponement of parliament session for several days on various issues earlier. But it had failed to seek postponement of the session on separate Telangana State issue,'' Ponnam said. Instead of conducting meetings at Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar and Nalgonda, the BJP has to raise its voice in Delhi in support of separate Telangana issue, Prabhakar suggested. The Congress MPs from the region would raise the issue in parliament on April 22. Will the BJP extend its support to the demand in the session?, he asked.
