Karimnagar: Describing Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy as anti-dalit, Peddapalli Member of Parliament G Vivek said that as part of his animosity towards dalits, he filed unjust criminal cases against his brother-in-law Sankar Rao. Addressing birth anniversary celebrations of Jyotirao Phule, Ambedkar and Babu Jagjivan Ram organized by Dalit intellectuals at the Press Club here on Sunday, Vivek said that CM has been vindictive towards Dalit people's representative Sankar Rao who has been fighting against corruption and along with the police causing inconvenience to him. The MP said that though the party supremo Sonia Gandhi has given clear instructions regarding the implementation of SC, ST Sub-Plan, the chief minister was politicizing the implementation. He condemned the attitude of the chief minister for deliberately sidelining the deputy chief minister Damodara Raja Narasimha because he was dalit. Sankar Rao, who was the chief guest at the function, underlined the importance of a united struggle of Dalits to solve the problems. "A united struggle is needed to protect our rights enshrined in the Constitution," he added. He said that ultimately the justice would prevail and he did not care about the criminal cases filed against him.
