Karimnagar: Three people died and three others sustained serious injuries in a road mishap in Manakondur mandal of Karimnagar district in the early hours on Tuesday. According to sources, the accident occurred near Gattududdenapalli when a car (Tawera) hit a huge granite stones laden lorry from the rear. The victims of the mishap were travelling in the car which was going from Chennur in Adilabad district to Warangal via Karimnagar.
The deceased were identified as David Raju of Kunchunuru village of Mangalagiri mandal in Guntur district, RBV Kishore of Hanuman Junction in Krishna district and D Naveen alias Mahender of Chennur in Adilabad district. The car was driven by Naveen (Mahender) when the mishap occurred. Local people informed to the police about the road accident. Manakondur SI Ramesh rushed to the spot along with other police personnel and shifted the bodies to government hospital in Karimnagar for post-mortem. The injured were identified as Pelli Malleswari, Santhosh and Shankar, all the three belonging to Chennur of Adilabad district.
