Karimnagar: BJP State president G Kishan Reddy has termed the announcement of Telangana formation by the Congress Working Committee (CWC) as a ploy by the Congress high command for the party’s political gain.Mr Kishan Reddy participated in the one-day `Deeksha’ in Karimnagar on Tuesday demanding immediate introduction of Bill in Parliament for Telangana State. He lashed out on the leaders of Congress, TDP and YSRCP. Though several hundreds of activists ended their lives for Telangana, Congress leaders did not react. However, a few months before the general elections, the party has announced Telangana formation for its political gain, he alleged.
The BJP leader took objection for the delay in preparing the note on the State’s bifurcation. Over 55 days have completed after the announcement; the note has not yet been prepared, he regretted. The BJP opposes any proposal of making Hyderabad as Union Territory, he asserted.
“Without the BJP’s support, Congress cannot pass the Bill in Parliament. So, the support of BJP is essential for passing the Bill,’’ Mr Kishan Reddy stated. He said that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi would become Prime Minister after the polls in 2014. People of the country are eagerly waiting for BJP’s victory in the polls, he added. BJP senior leader Ch Vidyasagar Rao, MLA Yendla Lakshminarayana, other leaders including Janga Reddy Dharma Rao, Gujjula Ramakrishna Reddy were present.
