Vangapalli: State Power and SC Development Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that government was giving top priority to agriculture sector and committed to supply 24-hour uninterrupted power to the sector.

On Wednesday, he along with Government whip Gongidi Sunitha launched 33/11 KV substation at Vangapally in Yadagirigutta mandal. Addressing the farmers later, the Minister advised farmers to utilise present 9-hour uninterrupted power carefully in order to transmit the surplus current to other places. Arrange on and off starters to pump sets instead of automatic starters to avoid the wastage of water, he added.

Implementing the orders of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, officials of TRANSCO and DISCOM were vigilant in maintaining no gap between supply and distribution of power to facilitate day-long uninterrupted power supply to domestic sector in the State, he asserted.

Vangapalli 33/11 KV substation would address the low voltage issues in Vangapalli, Mahabubpet , Sangam and other surrounding villages and also provide uninterrupted power, he informed. Earlier farmers used to get only 6-hour power supply to their fields, at present they are getting 9 hour, in near future agri sector will get 24-hour uninterrupted current on par with domestic users, he underlined Local public representatives and villagers participated in the programme.
