Nalgonda: ‘The roots of corruption have gone deep into the society and it is the duty of people from all walks of life to eradicate it,’ said District Collector Gaurav Uppal.

He attended as a chief guest at the meeting organised by ACB wing on the occasion of World Anti-Corruption Day at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Friday.

Addressing the gathering, he said all those who gives and takes bribes and supports it are liable for punishment as per the law. Stating that people are facing troubles due to demonetization, he suggested students to explain their parents about cashless transactions.

He advised people to use mobiles, smart phones, bank mobile applications, net banking and online backings for all sort of payments.
District SP Prakash Reddy felt that corruption could be eradicated in the country only by following ethics.

On the occasion, the Collector and SP administered pledge by the audience. ACB DSP Koteshwar Rao and students participated in the programme.
