Aswaraopet: Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao on Friday directed the officials to remove the encroachments adjacent to government offices and along the roads in the town.
The Minister, who laid foundation stones for several developmental works worth around Rs 18 crore in Aswaraopet mandal, instructed the MPDO to tour all the villages in the mandal and elicit information about the implementation of welfare schemes initiated by the government.
He stressed the need for installing biometric attendance systems to ensure the presence of officials in their respective offices.
Unhappy with the maintenance of the Anganwadi centre at Gopannagudem, Tummala reportedly directed the District Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu to suspend the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Child Development Project Officer Annapurna. It’s learnt that Annapurna was absent to the minister’s programme.Aswaraopet MLA Thati Venkateswarlu, Zilla Parishad chairperson G Kavitha and Superintendent of Police Ambar Kishor Jha were among others present.
