Bhadrachalam: A devotee, Kondapalli Naveen Kumar Ramaiah, of Goldsmith Colony, who visited Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple on Friday, accused the constables of Special Protection Force (SPF) of manhandling him.

Naveen said he was stopped by SPF personnel at the Raja Gopuram (main entrance) asking him to follow the queue. He said they abused and pushed him from the steps allowing others inside.

Insulted and hurt, Naveen lodged a complaint with temple authorities and the local police. Temple Executive Officer K Prabhakara Srinivas directed Assistant Executive Officer Sravan Kumar to submit a report regarding the issue in two days. Sub Inspector P Karunakar said necessary action would be taken after the enquiry concludes.
