Suryapet: BJP state president K Laxman decried the change in attitude of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao before and after the formation of Telangana state on celebrating Telangana Liberation Day officially.

On Friday, Laxman took part as chief guest to the RDO blockade programme organized by the party district unit at Suryapet RDO office. Addressing the gathering, he demanded the government to conduct Telangana Liberation Day officially and scrapping of GO 39.

He Advised KCR to honor the martyrs who fought against the autocratic Nizam and sacrificed their lives for Telangana liberation.

“The Chief Minister is opposing peoples demand of conducting the Liberation Day officially only to please the communal party, MIM, for vote bank politics,” the BJP leader said. “KCR is mocking the democracy for his political mileage,” Laxman added.

He further criticised the state government over the method of formation of farmer coordination committees with TRS-affiliated persons and demanded the cancellation of GO 39. The BJP leader advised the government to constitute the panels with genuine farmers and make farming a profitable sector in the State.

Meanwhile, a mild scuffle broke out between BJP party activists and police as party members tried to enter the RDO office. Police arrested Laxman and other leaders and shifted them to town police station. Later, they were released on submitting personnel bonds.
