Khammam: District Collector DS Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials of departments concerned to make elaborate arrangements for conducting the Open School Intermediate and Tenth supplementary examinations in a peaceful atmosphere here on Monday.
The Collector chaired a meeting with the officials of departments concerned to discuss the examinations that are going to be held from October 5 to 14, at his chambers in the Collectorate in Khammam on Monday. Speaking at the meeting, the Collector ordered the officials to make necessary arrangements for the exams that are going to be held under ‘Telangana Sarvathrika Vidhya Peetam’.
“About 1,108 candidates for Intermediate and 972 candidates for Tenth are going to appear for the examinations. Two centres are identified for Tenth examinations and three for Intermediate exams,” informed the Collector.
He further ordered the officials of Police department to make tight security arrangements at the examination centres to prevent untoward incidents.
“The officials of RTC department must arrange buses for candidates and help them reach the examination centres in time. The officials of Electricity department must take necessary steps for supplying uninterrupted power and Health department officials must arrange temporary health camps on the exam centre premises,” ordered the Collector.
The Collector further asked the officials to visit the exam centres beforehand for supervising the arrangements. “Stringent action will be taken against officials who behave negligently in discharging their duties,” warned the Collector.
District Education Officer S Vijay Lakshmi Bai, Assistant Commissioner of Police V Ganesh, Open School Coordinator A Murali Krishna, Inspector G Kiran, representative from TSRTC Jagan were present along with other officials.
